In January, the government announced a viability gap funding scheme (VGF) with an outlay of Rs 8,500 crore as financial assistance for promoting coal, lignite gasification projects.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"arr--story-page-card-wrapper\"><div class=\"arr--element-container story-element-card-m_element-container__1ZeJL story-element-card-m_dark__1AX15\"><div class=\"arrow-component arr--text-element text-m_textElement__e3QEt text-m_dark__1TC18 \" data-test-id=\"text\"><p>&#8220;Coal gasification and liquefaction capacity of 100 MT will be set up by 2030.
